Open 14th – 25th September 2021, Moroccan Chronicles is an exhibition of paintings by Daisy Perkins, a former pupil and teacher at LFAS. With a love for being lost, her paints have been the language she uses to connect with, and translate her experiences of other cultures and places.
This exhibition is a visual distillation of Daisy’s time exploring Morocco; from sun bathed rooftops to bustling markets streets, and from the gnaouan rhythms of the desert to the dusty workshops of local craftsmen. She paints in situ absorbing the sights, sounds, and atmosphere that come to infiltrate her paintings. A forthcoming documentary follows her explorations of Morocco and captures the process of creating some of the paintings on show. This along with her messy mucky sketchbooks will be alongside her paintings down at the Clockwork Courtyard in Camberwell.
Make sure to visit the exhibition when you can!
