‘The Posy Project Exhibition’ by Madeline Morrow

‘Spring Posy’, Oil on Panel 8” x 8”

Madeline Morrow’s exhibition ‘The Posy Project’ has got off to a fantastic start.

“It’s been a blooming success with 21 paintings sold by Monday afternoon! As 25% of sales will benefit the gardens it has been very heartwarming to have had such broad community support. We had 50-75 people at the private opening; lots of lovely chatter, one or two glasses of wine and, brisk sales.” – Madeline Morrow

Delayed several times and finally rescheduled to coincide with the new autumn date of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the venue is a hop and a skip from the Royal Hospital show grounds and Chelsea Physic Garden.

The project began as an idea to paint a small floral posy every month using seasonal blooms, many which were then sourced (with permission) from the local church/community gardens and is now an exhibition with sales to benefit the garden’s upkeep.  These lovely little gardens are maintained by several community volunteers and provided an absolute haven for many during lockdown!

Do make sure to make your way to the exhibition!
