Scott Pohlschmidt is a portrait painter and sculptor based in London. He is also a founder of the Lavender Hill Studios, a school offering painting and drawing courses to people of all skill ranges. Before moving to London, Scott spent 9 years in Florence, training in the representational tradition, learning to paint and sculpt from life.
Drawing on a broad range of skills and tools, Scott approaches each project as a distinct, new endeavor. He believes in the ability to move between genres and mediums, choosing the techniques best suited for the subject. The pieces represented here demonstrate the versatility and craftsmanship that is paramount to his work.
